2007 recap

This is my year recap in layouts! These are my favorite layouts from this year.

January:

I choose this one because of the photos mainly and the overall memory.

February:

Maybe not the best layout I have made, but I loved that my 2 favorite people in the whole world gave me such a nice birthday kiss :)

March:

I remember that I snapped this photo of these 2 best buds when the light through the window was just divine...

April:

I love love love this photo of our Chanty boy may he rest in peace...

May:

My daughter got into a nasty bike accident which resulted in stitches and a lot of tears. I snapped these photos a few days after and I love her goofy little self :)

June:

I made this simple minibook of my favorite photos of the year with my daughter and me.

July:

Again used one of those loved photos. This is one of the layouts that I have lifted for other layouts this year.

August:

Ah, the crazy few days that we had 3 dogs!!! Unfortunatly we had to return Rocky, but he was such a nice dog.

September:

Here I used a little Love, Elsie together with my favorite photo of me and my husband from the year 2007.

October:

My life categories. I acctually took this layout with me to my therapist and she read all sorts of things into what I had listed :) But I love that my life is full.

November:

A fun layout with a fun photo of me and my crazy daughter. We laid the camera on the ground and set the timer :)

December:

This layout made the catwalk last week over at SIS and that made me smile ´cause this was the first thing I scrapped in a month!

My friends, I wish you all so much love & happiness for the New Year!!! love you!

Ps. I cheated and started the 365 photos in 2008 today :) Check my flickr gallery!

layouts layouts layouts

I have scrapped!!! Just as i declared in my last post :) Here are a few of them and the rest are in my SIS gallery (link in the sidebar).

This first one is about my quiet time with the cat the day before Christmas. This didn´t come out at all like I had planned, but now I like it!

And as the New year is coming fast I decided to pick ONE favorite photo of the year (no it was NOT easy!). I picked this one of my and my daughter, one of many "one-hand-photos" that we take. I love it because we look so happy and we were. The photo was taken a warm June afternoon in the hammock while we were taking a siesta. I have made a minibook with this photo here.

Another of those selfportrait photos :) But these were taken on the ferry in october.

I have noticed that I seldom scrap me and my husband, and even more seldom just my husband Note to self! Be better on that!

I am happy that people have started to come back to their blogs after the holidays :) It is always tough for us peekers :) during those slow blog days of the year! I am off to check a few more and I might go back to the scraptable...

ah...the time after Christmas is always a little bit slow, but oh so nice! We had a bit of a strange Christmas (24th) because we were alone me and my husband. The guests came on the 25th. So the 24th went to TV-watching, PC games and fixing everything we could for the next day. I set the table and decorated the livingroom. I love how it looked at night with all the candles lit.

I spend the night on the couch with a movie, the cat and a blanket. Very nice.

On the 25th all we did (atleast that is how it seemed!) was to prepare the food and eat it! We aet and aet! I cannot belive how much a man can eat! Then we opened presents. As i collect angels I knew that my MIL would give me something for my collection, but I didn´t even dream about getting a Willow Tree angel! I love it! They are so beautiful! I got this it is the angel of harvest. But my MIL intended to get this the angel of friendship because of the puppy she is holding. But that is so ok, because I love the one I got! Browse through the products here! I got a few other things to, but that angel was my favorite!
I loved watching the others open gifts from me and the rise-bag warmers were a huge hit!

Rhonna Farrer was so helpful with my downloading problems with her digital kits I bought from 2peas. She send them to me directly! What a sweetheart! I am loving all the kits I got. I bought another one today. I don´t do digital scrapbooking, but there are many features you can use to print out or just to enhance your photos. It is fun!
I played with the vintage tools alittle:

And Harry looked mighty handsome on Christmas!

Now, hear this! I AM GOING TO GET OFF THIS COMPUTER AND GO SCRAP!!!!! :)

my favorites

Favorite Holiday list:

Movie:

Why? Oh, where do I begin? All the clichés about love, all the wonderful lines, all the englishmen :) I love this movie because it makes me cry everytime...everytime I cry with a smug smile on my face :)

Quote from said movie:
David: Whenever I get gloomy about the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrowe Aiport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed - but I don't see that. Seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified, or newsworthy - but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know, none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaking feeling you'll find that love actually is all around.

Chef:
Nigella Lawson because she looks like she acctually tastes the yummy food :)

Activity:

Well, besides opening presents :) taking a long walk with the dogs.

best thing about being off work:

resting...

Carol:

Silent night
Holy night
All is calm
All is bright
'Round yon virgin Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night
Holy night
Son of God
Oh love's pure light
Radiant beams from
Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus Lord at Thy birth
Oh Jesus Lord at Thy birth...

Layout (at the moment)

happy saturday

Are you all getting in the real mood for Christmas? I thought I was and then my daughter went to her father for Christmas as she does everyother year and the festive mood went down a nodge :( I really wish she was here and we could be together for Christmas. Ok, I will try anyway!

I uploaded a few new photos to my flickr gallery and created a new set for my #2 New years resolution: 365 in 2008! People, I will try my very best to take at least One photo everyday in the new year. I have not yet decided to make it a self portrait one yet, but I am leaning towards that. What do you think? I also created a mosaic from my Christmassy photos in the gallery. I like it!

I also love Ali´s!
I love daily planners and I always tend to have like at least 5 in one year! I know, I take medication for it! :) Last year I saw these awesome planners found here Go check them out! No not just the home page, click around a little. Aren´t they amazing!
This year I have bought this one!

I am excited to start using it!

A few days ago I bought 2 digital kits from 2peas and hear this: I STILL cant download them! What the h***!!! And they are not responding to any of my messages, email och tickets! I am so irritated about that! Kelly made me bye one of the kits and I so want to start to use them!

Danielle´s blog is so yummy! Have you been yet? I had lost her adress for so long, but I just found it through another blog the other day. Ah...the colors and yumminess :)

I made a try to get on the DT of Daily inspirations but I din´t make the cut. Here are the ones that did. Congratulations!

I have made the goodies for the holiday and I love how this looks!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

friday alread

I cannot belive that almost a week has passed yet again! So, to make up for my absence I am going to make this post a long one! :)
What have I´ve been up to? Well, acctually I have been scrapping! It makes me happy to be in the loop again :) You can see a few here in my SIS gallery but here are a few too.
My daughter gave me this cute santa helper and I love it!

I was chosen to be on the "catwalk" over at SIStv which makes me very happy since it was like the first layout I had scrapped in a month!

We celebrated an early Christmas yesterday, since my daughter isn´t going to be spending acctual Christmas with us this year. Here are a few photos from then.

I was having a bit of insomnia the other night and I totally came up with what my New years resolution will be for 2008. I am going to journal everyday during my last year of being not 30 :)Not that I am really freaking out or anything about turning 29 in february, but more that I love the feeling of a journal. I made this mosaic from my flickr journaling favorites (there were many!)

1. Shadows, 2. button tree done, 3. button_trees, 4. Button Flowers, 5. wide-leg lounge pants, 6. i love flickr, 7. Everyday Bokeh, 8. two new e's for my collection, 9. Tomato, 10. film.144, 11. emerging, 12. buttony goodness, 13. birthday breakfast, 14. for grey days, 15. from the kids, 16. at this moment, 17. I love you, 18. Jellies, 19. Close-up on the Little Hearts, 20. The Coolest Couch Ever

So, today I went into the bookstore, while in the city, and bought myself my Moleskine journal! I am so happy :)

And today was a happy happy mailday! Nicole mailed me this cutest Holiday package with yummy things in it! It made me smile all day! Among other yummy things she send me this awesome book! I love to be able to put out seasonal books for Christmas. Thank you so much, Nicole!

The theme song for me this week has been Bob Dylans "I belive in you" I love that song! It is repeat on my stereo :) Otherwise I have been listening to Christmas music 24/7.

I was at a thrift shop yesterday and found some small things. Among other things I found an old music sheet book with carols and this cute pin cushion :)

I have to run to work now! Last day before the holidays! Yippie!

happy sunday

I so got a stomach thing friday :( blah! anyway I am feeling better today so that is fine! I mean I work with kids so I ought to get something sometime, right?!

I did some crafting while I was not worshipping the WC God :) First, I scrapped :) It feels good to like force myself to do this, because I really want to. I have taken more photos this month too, so that helps too. Dont faint but I acctually used some glitter on a page! I know! :) I have taken a quite bad photo of the layout because lets face it I LOVE my scanner and I am not ready to introduce it to any kinds of glitter :)

Well, acctually now that I see that photo I see that the glitter isn´t really showing all that good. I put glitter around the photo because my daughter had glitter in her hair for the Lucia celebration.

And well I just had to use that silly Christmas photo for something so I scraplifted myself for this one. That is acctually a really good way to get that mojo flowing. Go through your albums and lift something you loved making! So, first here is the "original" from the exact day last year December 12th.

And here is the lifted version.

My daughter had her gymnastics show the other week and it was so much fun to see her in the costume much like the one I had when I was traning a hundred years ago :) She did really good, but the thing I thought was the cutest was that she kept wiggeling her toes in the rythm of the music :)

We have made some Christmas candy this weekend. And my daughter did some gingerbread baking the other day. Yum yum!

9 days until Christmas people!!! Where does the time go?!!

Friday, December 14, 2007

Hi all! Here is a little Holiday Q A for you!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper for sure. I love wrapping presents.

2. Real tree or artificial? We used to have a real one, but my all the work with that! And we usually go away over Christmas so there is noone to take care of the tree then. So now we have a fake beautiful one!

3. When do you put up the tree? We always put it up on the 13th, but now with the school Christmas plays always being that evening we cheat and put it up the night before.

4. When do you take the tree down? After Christmas I am usually aching to get everything down! So a week or so after.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? I don´t really remember. But I know I always wanted a puppy and then when I got older a pony! (never got neither!)

7. Do you have a Nativity scene? I do, but we really need a new one, because I am sorry to say it but papa Joseph lost a hand… and as he is a carpenter he really needs both hands!

8. Hardest person to buy for? My father in law and brother in law.

9. Easiest person to buy for? My daughter!

10. Worst Christmas Gift you ever received? Well, iam a sucker for all gifts so, I can´t recall any.

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Definitely mail.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Love Actually

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I like to buy gifts all year round, because I think that it should be like that. I want to go somewhere and just see something that would be perfet for someone, not just buy everything on a persons wishlist.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yep

15. Favorite things to eat at Christmas? Oh my all the candy!

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Clear once for sure. I cannot stand any that are twinkling in all colors!

17. Favorite Christmas song? Let it snow and Silent night

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? Hm…no but Rudolph is the most important one right!

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? We have a golden star.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We open on Christmas eve, which we celebrate on the 24th. After having Christmas dinner.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? The shopping craziness. I am in awe of how many people get in debt bying Christmas gifts! I am all about finding one or two special things for each person on my list and then still have money left.

23. What is the “silliest” family tradition you do, or miss doing? I'm not sure that we have a silly family tradition.

24. Ugliest Christmas Decoration ever invented? Well, I have to go with blinking tree lights.

25. Which looks best, theme trees or homey trees? I like an old fashioned homey tree.

26. Gingerbread or sugar cookies? Gingerbread!

I was pondering youtube and found this. I love it video!

I thought the kids in the school play this year were so cute and they all did a great job!

happy lucia day

Today we are celebrating Lucia in Sweden. That means seeing ladies in white with candles all day long :) My daughter has a Christmas play going on tonight so offcourse we are seeing some of that too :)

Yesterday we put up our tree. I love it every year and it was great this one too. We took a bunch of photos infront of the tree. But it took like 10 tries to get to this one :)

Among others....this one...

haha

I have also sent of all my holiday cards AND 3 suprise Christmas packages! Yay! i love suprises! I hope everyone like what they are getting.

This weekend I am making Christmas candy. And I am really looking forward to that. Just a whole day in the kitchen getting all floury and I just have to test the candy too :)
I think I will be making some of these crafts too.

shopping bags
bath mits
marble magnets

And I just found a really crafty blog this morning where I have found a lot of cute cool things to make. Check it out!

Karoline: I have a system to my albums! You can read more about that here. I just recently got an album set up just for me too! And thank you very much for that link to Scrapperiet!

I was the favorite of the day here! Which makes me happy!

I am babysitting these 2 this afternoon and that makes me happy too!

Have a happy day! ♥
