our weekend fun

We have had a wonderful and fun weekend! The themepark was alot of fun both for the kids and us. Hm...where to start? Well, they had this wonderful big playground with huge nets and other things to climb on. Since my daughter is a climber this was one of her favorites this weekend.

My favorite was definitivly the go-cart tracks! WOW! If you haven´t been in one, you must! I had a blast!

My other favorite was the cotton candy! :)

Outside the park there was a mall. My husband just had to pop in to go to the ATM and during that he walked through a furniture store. We have been looking for a new couch forever. We want one in a practical color (dark) and fabric. We also want a larger one so that we can all be comfortable on the couch at the same time. Enter this beauty!

My husband phoned me from the store and said that i just had to come out to see it. It was perfect, people! So, we walked away from the store with a new couch on pre-order! :)

We had a cabin overnight and at the camping we played some minigolf and had some really good pizza.

Well, the dear husband had some difficulties :)

The park had one of Swedens biggest waterpark! It was huge and had so many slides and other funstuff! Unfortunatly the water was rather cold so we didn´t spend as much time here as we wanted.

The rides were the best! Not to bad not to whimpy!

A family shot after a fun day!

Now i want to start making something with all the photos i took! I feel a minialbum coming on...

last night i had the strangest dreams. i always dream alot, but this was to much! i had like torture dreams the entire night. i woke up all wet of sweat all night long and it was like i wanted to wake up, but couldn´t really. bleh.
i did have a more lovely morning though. i had the best coffee infront of the computer while browsing my favorite blogs. Among others I especially loved these posts today:

Ali
Cheryl
Taras header
Suzanne
work in progress
memory makers

i listened to some morning shows on the radio and then had to get ready for work. it was a bit rainy today, so the rainboots was on :)

i was so energetic when i got home that i went for a 2 hour walk with the dogs, mowned the lawn, vaccumed before 4 pm :) it feels good. so my night will hopefully be peaceful!

I am getting the family ready for a happy and fun weekend here. we are hoping for some really good weather!

i so want to get some scrapping done!

i need to sit with my dear daughter for a while, to get her to write a wishlist for her birthday...can you belive that she can´t get one out by herself! She is 9 soon!

my heart...

the internet is amazing! in so many ways, and i have already mentioned a few. But the coolest thing is the friends that you make...
In march my lovely internet friend Mel , which i met through the lovely & wonderful suziebeezieland, wrote a comment on a one of my blog posts. That is not rare at all, she does a really good job on commenting :) But she wrote the sweetest thing that stuck to me. She wrote:

What a treasure you are to your family.

You see what i mean?! I wrote it down and have thought about it many times since then. It sits nice and neatly in my heart. Thank you so much, Mel-Bell :) And as a true scrapbooker i made a layout with this sentence...

I love you so much, all internet friends and "real life" friends, so here is one for all of you!

weekend and inspo list

wow monday already! where did this weekend go?! well, i made the town on saturday. I went with the early ferry and found myself in town at 10 already! i shopped way to much :) some clothes, books, cd´s and a few must haves :) I bought Bruce´s CD for us and Jonas Brothers for the tweenie daughter :) She has her birthday on August 31st and i have started a little gift collection for her.

Oh and speaking of the daughter, she put on one of her shows, which usually consists of her, an outfit, the mic and radio on our bed. Yesterday was no exception, but this show had a special feature: Dixon!

:) i guess she loves showbuisness more than Mr D!

I have seen a cuple of "what inspires me right now-lists" going around and thought i´d do one too!

Yellow just makes my heart skip a beat. Yellow is just a happy accent color, i think. I have this lovely yellow necklace and i wear it often. And doesn´t it look good where I store it?!

I love Project Runway! I can watch at all the re-runs and still be inspired by all of them!

I stopped Facebooking a while ago, it just wasn´t for me. But when i saw that all these cool flair images came from there i just had to make one :)

Other things that still inspire me are:

notebook paper
office supplies
eclectic photos
poems
hands

Q & A

So, yep here is the Q & A post today. I love when people ask me questions about me or my life or my crafting! Here we go!

Karine asked me about my blog banners. Well, Karine thank you so much for your kind words. I make my blog banners in Photoshop with a little help of a few digital kits and stuff like that. Then I just upload the image as a blog banner.

Mel asked about where the butterflies in this post come from. They are from a company called Karen-Marie Klip & Papir A/S. It is a danish company. If you google it you might find a few places online where you can get them!

Gretchen Owens asked if the wonderful lovely kitchen at the bottom of this post is mine…all I can say: I WISH! Haha.

Heather asked if I live on an island…for real! Yup, I do. We moved to this small island 14 km lone and 3 km wide 6 years ago. It is heaven on earth! I tell a little about the island in this post

The author alittlebitofscrap asked me if I laid the leaf bottom side up on top of the sand when I made this project and the answer is NO. You just lay the leafs “upside” down on the sand.

another great way to spend your morning

I wanted to show you another way that i spend some of my mornings :) Today me and Dixon packed a back pack and took a morning walk down to the beach. The weather was lovely and the beach was empty yet. The water was just so clear and acctually very lovely.

Just to prove that i acctually was in the water :) Do you see that shake :)

This walk made my entire day. Wow on being able to feel nature like this! Thank you mother nature for all your creations!

The secret to happiness on the beach = me, dixon and a stick :)

Next post will be a Q A one! Yay!

my morning at work

So, as most of you know I am a kindergarden teacher. I work with kids in the ages between 1-3. And yes, it is kindergarden, not daycare. Atleast I see it as that :) I work in a kindergarden where we use inspiration from Reggio Emilia which really is a region in Italy and an educational philosophy which follows these principles:
Children must have some control over the direction of their learning;

children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing, and hearing;

children have a relationship with other children and with material items in the world that children must be allowed to explore;

and children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.

We also have longterm projects with lots and lots of creativity! Hense why i love my job :)

Anyway, the other morning i thought of taking some photos showcasing how good of a morning i did have! Let me set up the picture:

These photos were taken between 6 and 7 am. The sun was already shining and the grass was slightly wet still from the night. I lit candles (as i often do when i work with my kids) and put on some Bach.

(check here for my flickr version of the above photo if you want to read some notes...)

After about 5 minutes two kids arrived and they cuddled with me on the couch for a little while since they were tired. Then the little boy (3.5 years) started this awesome conversation about lawn mowers. He ♥ everything lawn mowers! That conversation lasted for about 15 minutes! I found myself sitting there and thinking wow how incredibly humble i am to his knowledge! He then proceeded with his playing :)

As we do have all materials showcased and in the childrens hight for them to pick and choose themselves, both kids wanted to do some morning painting. Perfect, i thought, because that is one of my favorite things! So, while listening to Bach on the CD, candles lite they had a nice quite time painting.

This, my friends, is true art!

While they were painting i stood and cleaned some brushes and paint cans, and listening to their sweet conversation. Yet another favorite for me. Ah, the conversation between children!

So, the clock is ticking and while the kids get cleaned up i put on some eggs for breakfast (we usually don´t cook but the lady that does is on vacation so we all help out).
The atmospher was so calm and made good things for my soul...i always want the kids
to have a calm and nice morning, so that they are ready for the day. And frankly i can need it too :)

I wish you a nice, calm and creative morning!
