me? a tourist? yes, ma'm!

 we have see budapest both by bus, boat. by day and night. we have seen fun stuff. we have seen interesting stuff. we have eaten good food, and we have eaten some not good food. we have had a good vacation and tomorrow is the last day. we are flying home monday at midday. it will be so good to be home. i miss my love.

walking on sunshine

i looked out the window this morning and saw a blue sky and the sun shining. i took a break from sightseeing today and care for the kids all day. which was a very good choice since it was so much fun at the playground and park with lots of laughter, sun and icecream!

i will try to get together a "1o on thursday" post tomorrow!

a little hello and a freak out :)

we are having a good vacation down here in budapest. it is fun to visit a country that i have been to so many times before as a child, but never before as an adult. the weather could have been a little bit better, but today was gorgeous! we are real tourists wandering the streets and taking photos. no one misses us as we are 9 people and there is always at least one fussy kid among us :) me and my daughter did some shopping today and as we love shopping we are extra happy today :) we did walk down the famous vaci utca but only bought a souvenir since it is an expensive street to shop at :) since we do have 4 kids with us , we do spend quite some time down in the park so that they can play. there is a very nice playground just where we live!

in other news...

i just about freaked out down here in budapest, when i checked my bloglines and ez had picked one of my photos in the inspriation daily feature!!!

i love that these things happen now and then and that i can have a smile on my face all day just because of it!

earth hour and a few faves

We had a lovely time during earth hour on saturday night. we read out loud to each other and did some crossword puzzles. the daughter even fell sound asleep during the quite time. it was very relaxing. did you turn of your lights during earth hour?




the story: my mother in law turned 62 last week and i wanted to document how cool and beautiful she looked!

the goods: well, as you can see i used a few buttons from my vintage stash :) i love them all. i acctually sewed them all in by hand and then did my journaling on my typewriter poped that on there and the numbers are foam stickers.



the story: me and my husband will celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary on april 27th and this weekend it was exactly 6 years and 11 months. silly to count maybe but i am so very proud of us to have been through what we have been through and still be very much in love.

the goods: i "polaroid" the photo and attached it with masking tape. the numbers are foam stickers and the letters are from a rub-on sheet. journaling on my beloved typewriter and punched out some hearts to make a third boarder.

i got lost in flickr-land last night and here are a few of my favorites. don´t you just love the ability to see so much loveliness at one time?! and that hedgehog is just killing me :)

the story: i really have a craving for sunlight. living in a part of the world were the sun goes to it´s winter sleep sometime in late october and doesn´t come out again really before sometime in april sucks sometimes :)

the goods: i used papers from my newly purchased paper kit called retro from panduro for this. printed out my journaling on my typewriter. oh i added a small brad too :)



the story: again a tribute to nice weather and nature. as soon i saw that the sun was out sunday, i took a long walk with the dogs on the fields and down to the water. lovely, lovely i say!

the goods: i wanted this to be super simple because i love these photos and i wanted to remember that. again the paper comes from panduros paper stack retro. i adhered the photos and the patterned paper to some squared notepaper which i tore. rub-ons come from a lovely swatchbook full with rub-on letters from creative café.



the story: i really wanted to record the small things that my family do to improve the health of our planet.

the goods: :) again the snail patterned paper is from panduro. the size of this layout is half of an A4 sheet which is really a scrap from making a card earlier this week. it´s a nice size, i think although my scanner doean´t want it to show up anything straight! journaling strips printed on my typewriter.

blue & scrapping shares

mindi took photos of anything blue the other day and it trigged me to do the same. here is what i found around the house.

i have a few new scrapbooking shares for you :)



the story: my daughter is taking riding lessons and they allow the kids to be around in the stables for a while before the lessons. this is a very happy thing for her! she loves to be there (although she was thrown off last time yikes!). last time we took a picnik with us and had such a lovely time.

the goods: i wanted to use "white space" on this one, so i printed the photos alittle smaller than i usually do. and, people, i am so bad at adding those little details nowadays! it makes me so frustrated! it doesn´t come naturally for me anymore! why is that? anyway i am in love with anything scalloped these days so i used a mini one here :)



the story: i wanted to make something using my "word" for the year; play.

the goods: i had to use carina gardners digi kit calender cards i bought at 2peas. i love these cards! this page didn´t come out anything like i was planning :) i wanted to use the map for some reason, but i think that this makes the page look "2 paged" like they don´t belong together...oh, well!



the story: my daughter is a rockstar! she loves to sing and dance. and the singstar is the best right now! she put on such shows, i tell you :)

the goods:. My Minds Eye`s die cut was just perfect for this and so was that scenic route die. that awsome journaling tag was sent to me by karine! i love them, karine!



the story: politics is nothing for me, i find it confusing, but i know that what we need is peace, now! everywhere, for you, for me, for them, for us!

the goods: super simple, but i have never measured so much on a page before haha! i printed the peace on my computer (it is the font diesel from here.)i like the print out :) the other peace is rub-ons from a big pack of alphabet rub-ons from creative café.

sorry for the delay

ok, first i am sorry that there has been a lack of updates this week. It has been such a hectic week, we have alot of things going on at work and we had a late meeting last night and that always makes me lay awake for a really long time. Anyway, here is an update!




I scrapped this above after i had read the latest Scrapbooks etc. magazine. There was a layout that used playing card sized blocks and i wanted to try that. I like that i can decorate just a portion of the layout. I have tried the playing cards before. See here and here



Oh, and let me just apologize for the horrible stitching on this 2 pager! I suck at layout stitching! Anyway i made this layout to document my daughters reaction to the Jonas Brothers CD she got for her birthday!

Monday was my daughters "ridingday" so as my husband has begun to work again after his vacation, we had to take our bikes down to the harbour. We took Dixon with us :)





As you can see he had a sweel time :)

i did! :) Although I did not scrap a single thing for NSD I did have a wonderful weekend! Saturday I went to the city and shopped all sorts of things. A few new shirts/T-shirts and I went thrift shopping too and found a few cool things. Then saturday night we went to dinner with good friends and we have a total blast! All the kids (5 under the age of 3!) were asleep at like 9 pm and then we sat and chatted for hours! I did really need to laugh like that again :)
Sunday was spring cleaning day around here and we filled a whole transport with things we were giving to the goodwill store. It felt sooo good! Do you feel good about getting things organized and out? I feel like my soul is happier and so fresh because of this! Maybe it has something to do with Feng shui or something :)
As I said I wasn´t scrapping myself but My Gosh was there a party going on here and there and everywhere :) I have gotten so much inspiration in so many places this weekend and I am just scooping the galleries now!
