snow!

It freakin snowed yesterday! What! Ah, that is exactly the thing I hate about April. Today it is raining. AH!


Have I told you that my DD is not my husbands biological daughter? Nevermind, she isn´t anyway and I can´t belive that I haven´t scrapped that she goes to her father every other weekend and has been since she was 1 years old. Then I saw the HMITM #30 and thought, yep I´ll make a page about the very important memory and make the challenge!

She left for her father yesterday and she is going to be there until friday. She has a loose tooth again and I just wanted to take a photo of her with her tooth since I think she is going to loose it before she gets back home. I can´t belive that she is never going to look like this again, do you know what I mean?!

I have acctually organized my albums! Yay me! It was amazing to go through ever page again. I recommend it. I have a few diffrent albums now in diffrent categories: My DD, me & my DH, events with other people, and me. It makes so much more sense acctually. And how fun is it to see how ones style has evolved over the years. At first it was all about the papers and embellishments for me. The memory and even the photo was secondary. Now, I almost laugh about that, because I have so changed my opinion about the whole scrapbooking in general. I scrapook to keep memories. Memories of how my DD:s life is everyday I want her to know the little things that is and was special when she was young. Now I want everything to be about the photo and especially the journaling. I tend to journal more now and if it is truly just a great photo I don´t journal that much other than where and when the photo was taken.

I read the Dare and Taras it is! Then I went to work the other day and a little girl had a T-shirt on with the text Me Me Me [definition: a person who is perfect, pretty and all-around great! Isn´t that great!

hakuna matata

:) Do you remember this song from The Lion King? My DD is having a friend here that spend last night here. and for breakfast they are whatching that movie in their beds. Just a few minutes ago the little Lion King met Timon and Pumbaa for the first time and they sang that Hakuna Matata song and then suddenly the whole house started singing that song; the 2 girls, me in the kitchen and my DH still in bed :) Haha...funny!

Speaking of funny: This was me and the gand on saturday night. Do I look like a bed?!!! :) Cozy pozy!

I have calmed down now :)
My Dearest husband have done this for me :) Isn´t it cute. We are going to use it as a breakfast area. I love it!

I also have an altered item to show you. My SIL had her birthday the other day and since it´s easter and everything the post isn´t going out from here until tuesday so I altered a Nepal Whool black bag. She loves red and white dots and I love to make felt flowers = Voila!

Easter has past calmly so far. We colored eggs yesterday and the colors makes me so happy. And the cute hen makes me smile :) My DD and I went all crafty with some felt the other day :)

Another thing that makes me happy is to see the seeds growing on my window shelf. I have all green fingers now :) NOT! :)

We went to buy some icecream down in the harbour before and there is a little shop that I was a part of starting up a cuple of years ago. We went in for a stroll and I came home with some really cool wood cases for my paper and stickers. Cool, right!

Good Friday Post #2

Ok, so I am back! I had a nice slow day around here. And to my suprise I did make it to my scraproom! YAY! I acctually made a few layouts. First I used those skater photos again, just because they are favorites at the moment. I wanted them simple just so I can go back to see how beautiful and sweet she was at that very moment.

Sometimes I just have to scrap my DH aswell! I used a favorite B&W photo I took last summer down at the beach. I love the photo and that is just what I wanted this to be all about. The journaling simply states: Just a beautiful photo!

Back to DD again :) She has always been such an active child always running, jumping and very much climbing. My mom always says that DD never takes the easy way, and I agree. But I think thats a good thing, she has her own way, taking her own road and has her own agenda.

When my DD was born she had a head full of very dark hair. Then as she became 6 months or so all that hair was gone. She had almost no hair until she was like 1.5. Then this beautiful angelic hair full with curls came ahead. She was almost known for her hair. I found this 2 year-old photo and can´t help thinking back on those days. She still has her curls, but not as much anymore. I miss them!

Ok, guys how about that. Didn´t I do good in one day?! :) I am sorry to say that I have yet no pictures of the table and chairs due to one tired husband...aka mr-i´ll-do-it-tomorrow!

Good Friday post #1

Thank God it´s a long weekend this week! I came home yesterday from work and was so tired I just had to lay on the couch just being. Blah! I hate being that tired. I went to bed early and the family let me sleep in today and I feel so much better! DD isn´t :( She had a long period of caughing that I think I told you about, and now it seems like it is back again. Poor girl. She is more upset about not being able to jump on the trampoline we promised her to set up today, though!
Otherwise I am spending my day lounging around lurking blogs, galleries and other fun things on the magical internet. Do you remember the old Sandra Bullock movie : The Net? Haha...I think I have seen it a hundred times, but I haven´t for like 8 years or so and had almost forgotten about it. Then I went to the store and they had a good price DVD in stock. I saw the DVD and just had to buy it! I like the movie still, but I choose to see the internet as a good and friendly place, don´t you! Anyway (I tend to be sidetracked a lot at the moment!) Where was I? Yes, blog lurking! I think that blogs are such a cool way to stay in touch and as I am a girl that loves to look in to peoples windows while out walking (NOTE: not in a creepy way, I am just curious about their window displays and curtains!) I like this way of window looking into peoples lifes that I really don´t know much about other then I know that they usually share my passion for all things pretty and creative! I am currently reading and luring so many blogs, not only the ones I have shared as my dailies. So here are my other dailies or weeklies at least, maybe you know them already:

back again

I cannot belive that I have been gone for this long and still I have no news about my life! :) Spring has really paid a visit to southern Sweden the last week or two and I have been busy preparing the garden. I am a period-gardner. I love it in the start but then when the garden needs more maintance I usually sit in the sun in my good chair reading a book! But isn´t it funny how spring can suprise you every year?! We are planning to plant some new bushes this year and we are now scouting for good ones that grow fast.

Hm...what else? Yeah, I have a very cool CJ at the moment. It is one of the girls in the 8 Europeans&3 americans CJ I am in that has made a CJ that´s called Soundtrack of your life. How cool is that?! My life has always been full of music since my dad made speakers and other radio stuff. Then it was mostly 60s and 70s music "If your going to San Fransisco...dada...flowers in your hair..." and stuff like that. Then the love of music has always been there. I have been singing in choirs forever and love to sing gospel. Ah, during the teen ages it was all from Bryan Adams "Everything I dooooo....I´d do it for youuuu..." :) and Celine Dion "The poooower oooof looove!!!" And I remember we listened to many of the older 80s rock ballads oh , my! :) Like Metallicas "Nothing else matters". No Doubt and The Cranberries, The Fugees and Shania Twain...:) Ah, the memories! It is fun to go back, have you done it?

I have also been lurking blogs (ofcourse!) and I saw that Elsie made a post about organazing albums the other day. I have been thinking about that. At the moment I have my albums organized cronologicly (my God I cannot spell that word but you know what I mean, right?!) But as, Elsie stated; some of my layouts just don´t make any sense in that order. Hm...what do you think? How are you doing it?

I can´t belive that Easter is just around the corner, can you? We are having a quite one this year. Remodeling abit and just haning out, eating eggs :)

good weekend

I have just returned from a wonderful weekend in Gothenburg. We went there to celebrate my MIL:s 60th birthday. We went to a wonderful italian resturant and had some great pasta and desert :) And we had gifts too! I have been working on a sharebook for her since september. I wanted it to be perfect. From the start I had mailed out about 18 informations to friends and family of hers. And then a few didn´t answer but it turned out great! And I was so anxious to give it to her. She loved it! It was the only gift she past around for everyone to see :) She couldn´t stop reading and remembering things from old photos. Made me so happy! Here is a peek at the cover and her reaction!

Me and my DD spend saturday with her cousin and my mom. It was wonderful spring weather and it was so much fun to see how the little cousin adores my DD! We were out all day and went from playground to playground. Wonderful! My DD opened a icecream shop and I am amazed to see so much art in an icecream :)

My mom lives in a part of the city which holds alot of nationalities and people from other cultures. I love to just walk around hearing diffrent kinds of music, smelling the diffrent sents from diffrent kitchens and see all the people. To bad there are a lot of vandalism in the area.

I took a bunch of photos. Yay for photo ops! My daughter has a thing for climbing on everything she sees. Like hills, fences and other stuff that comes her way. She is a good climber :) And a real model!

And I just have to share this. My mom uses this tote bag when she goes shopping! :) Go mom!

update on life

* Sadie is doing better and better. And she is hungry which for her means back in buisness!

* I feel spring is on it´s way. The first flowers has popped and although today is really windy, I love the sunlight!

* I was "pubbed" again! But now I have gotten no love for the next 2 issues. Thats ok!

* I scrapped a bit. I have had a low period again. I think I need some new photos. I think I will go with Ali E´s theme on recording everyday life. You know; morning/evening routine, what we do everyday, the animals, school thing for DD and stuff we like. I feel alomst like I have been waiting for a "special" moment or event. But it is really all about the everyday. I know that, but I guess I need a reminder once in a while. Here is the latest layout using those cool sk8er photos. And my table in the midst of progress...

* I have been working on the scrarf for DH and it is fun as I am able to work faster and faster.

* There is absolutely nothing on TV right now and for the rest of the day. How boring is that! Oh well more time to blog, reading other peoples blogs and Pea :) which I plan to do this evening! So come by and chat over at gmail you girls that can!

my baby...

This is my baby today. She underwent surgery and was a sleep 3 diffrent times before the surgeon was done. She came home to us late thursday night and then she was all groggy still. She has 5 tubes sticking out from 3 wounds and that thing around her neck. She has slept the whole night and is still tired. She was up a minute ago and actually walked a little but now she is in pain again and tries to sleep. The vet said that she hopes that everything will go well, but they don´t know about the nerv damage yet. If it is to painful for Sadie it is better to put her to sleep. Let´s hope for the better. Thanks for all your messages, emails and other ways to send happy and warm thoughts!

Please send some happy thoughts and good vibes my way today. My little dog got bitten by a larger dog today and she (my dog Sadie) is in the hospital now on the operation table... The 3rd bite went thtough the leg and all the way in to the tummy. My poor little baby girl :( We have no idea how it will turn out, so if you think of us today I know it will help! Thanks.

I knew it!

I just knew she would love the mini board! Here she is in action and then she posed some for her mama today :) She is so sweet I could eat her up! I love the fact that she is one of those cool girls now. When she was...well up to her 4th year she was like if it is not pink or purple I am not wearing it! :) But then suddenly the summer before her 4th birthday she changed almost over night. And now ever since she started school she is all hardcore-i love black and blue-cool chickie. I just wish that she would speak up for herself a little bit better, you know toughen up a bit. She is too kind and caring and I am afraid that people will use that...oh, well she is mine and I love that!
